The 2.0 TDi engine supersedes the early 1.9 unit to take power and refinement to the next level. Using VW?s highly acclaimed PD injection system and the latest Siemens PPD ECU controllers, the stock outputs on these are impressive even as standard. With 2025 bar injection pressure these engines produce high torque at low loads and enable great gains to be had from tuning. The 167bhp (170PS) variant easily achieves 211bhp with little effort. We develop all of our software on the rolling road to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fuelling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures are all within tolerance. Our aim is for maximum power whilst maintaining optimum reliability.

Our Stage 1 ECU remap is developed to safely improve your vehicle's power and torque whilst maintaining standard components and remaining within tolerances. <br/><br/> It's the perfect balance of increased power and day-to-day usability, which is ideal for those who want extra performance but not at the cost of additional hardware or reliability.

Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve enabling it to be blanked off. For more information please refer to our section on EGR Removal.Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Diesel Particulate Filter enabling it to be removed from the vehicle. For more information please refer to our section on DPF Removal.Where applicable, we are able to open the exhaust valve permanently to ensure your cars exhaust note is not muffled. In some cases, this will be made selectable under certain driving modes.Immobiliser Delete

Had the remap done about 5 months ago now and I am very happy with the results. The power is on tap and is delivered smoothly as and when needed, virtually no lag at all.

Initially, economy was pretty poor; I was losing over 50 miles from a full tank...but after a couple weeks it sorted itself out. I wouldn't say my economy has improved much, I'm getting pretty much the same mpg, but driving is a lot more fun.

I suppose if I used the car conservatively then that would reflect in the mpg, to a certain extent.. I would definitely recommend having this done though; it definitely put the joy into driving a relatively boring car!!

Will be getting a new car soon and that'll definitely be up for the Celtic Tuning treatment.
