The remap has now had a few days to bed in and I have to say it's worth every penny. The minute I drove away from Celtic Tuning HQ I could feel the difference in performance. Since then I've not stopped smiling every time I drive the car. So much so I'm finding any reason possible to take the car out for a drive.
A quick check of the average mpg in the car shows a 5mpg improvement but I'll work it out properly through a few tank fill ups. The whole process from quotation, booking to getting the remap done was informative, efficient and friendly. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions & discuss the process with knowledgeable staff.
The dyno wasn't available on the day due to HQ having recently moved to new premises but I will take up the offer of a gratis visit in a few weeks time. Highly recommend Celtic Tuning whatever vehicle you drive.

Following my power remap I've lived with my Roc for a few months. This has allowed me to test the car over a range of driving styles and conditions. Performance - the remap delivers a very smooth power curve that is a good match to the DSG gearbox and all but removes the annoying loss of power that other reviewers have mentioned going from 1st to 2nd gear in standard form. The car is far more responsive at any RPM making it really enjoyable to drive. Yes if the full performance of the car is used it can keep pace with some far more exotic cars.
Economy - over a full tank expect 45-48 mpg. I drive with a light foot, so have averaged 52mpg over 6,000 miles, with a 25/30/45 split of Urban/A roads/Motorways. For the hell of it last week I tried a 185 mile drive for economy on a 10/90 urban/motorway split and averaged 68.3mpg keeping to 60-65mph on the motorway, impressive. Keep to 70-75mph delivers 55mpg, up the pace to main traffic at 75-80mph and this will drop to 48mpg, still an excellent performance/economy balance. Reliability - a little too early to say, but my last Celtic remap proved reliable over 50,000 miles.
Summary, great value, great performance/economy, character unchanged (smooth power curve). buy with confidence.

Had Cameron pay me a visit yesterday to remap my Scirocco 170 diesel, really nice lad who was very professional, he mapped it via he OBD port without the need to remove the ecu.
About an hour after arriving we were driving up the road testing out what I thought of the map, the difference in the car was amazing straight away, very smooth acceleration and the pull when floored in any gear was fantastic. I went out in the car later on that night and it seemed to be even more impressive, the car pulled right up to the red line without any drop off at all!!!
Would I recommend Celtic? Oh yes!! Would I use them again? Definitely!!!

Alongside the engine control unit (ECU) we are also able to provide transmission control unit (TCU) software to help further enhance your vehicle. There is a lot of limitation built into modern gearbox software to help hold back the power gains you are trying to achieve from your engine, our gearbox software overcomes this and helps transform the way the car drives. Some of the modifications include raising maximum torque limiters, faster gear shift speeds, increased clamping pressures to prevent clutch wear, increased engine RPM limiters and much more…
