Went for two maps; eco and track...car is more economical on the motorways, but still eats a lot around Milton Keynes (admittedly my driving style doesn't help this!) Track version really comes into it's own when there is some ballast (i.e. my rather fat mate).
You can tell how much smoother the power curve is by how iit pulls throughout the gear, and when by myself it is a lot punchier and 'instantaneous'. I do get wheel spin now, so launch control setting should be considered.
Overall, for £450 I got two maps and a gizmo I can use to swap between them in 10 mins, and some very good customer service whilst fitting! It does work, and there is a big difference between the two maps.
A few things they should sort out - Software compatibility (Mac/Win8) as future remaps will need be done through Celtic now I have the e-motion (...if I get a bigger turbo, for example, I will need two new custom remaps...and yep, they''ll be an eco + a track).

Thank you Kevin for arriving on time after nearly a 4 hour journey from Cornwall. I had a number of questions about the tuning and how this would affect the car. Kevin was happy to answer all my questions and explained how everything worked. After the remapping had been completed the test run was an interesting experience.
The character and performance of the car had changed appreciably. Acceleration and torque were noticeably improved and this was just minutes after the work had been carried out. Kevin explained that It normally takes up to a 100 miles of so before the full effect of the remapping begins to bed in. I was also encouraged to " give it some" during the first 20 miles. (This apparently helps the ecu to reconfigure the new parameters set by the remap). This was a task that I really enjoyed carrying out, working the engine, and throttle much more than I would normally have done. Thirty minutes later I can report that I have been really pleased and impressed with the transformation. The car responds with much greater determination, acceleration seems effortless, with a huge sense of urgency and I look forward to this being even better in the future when the ecu has accepted all the new mapping. Although I am writing only a few hours after the remapping, I am sure that I made a good decision to go with Celtic Tuning.
I look forward to further improvement in the weeks ahead and it will be interesting to see how fuel consumption is affected.
Cheers

Thanks to the lads at Celtic tuning my VW Golf 150 diesel now has the bhp to beat my friends Clio sport 185 which feels quick to any driver.
For a diesel car you can't want much more. After the re-map was completed I took the car out for a test drive and was told to go steady then open it up however when I put my foot down in 1st,2nd then 3rd gear all I got was the traction light flashing at me. It really does make the car feel completely different.
To say this diesel has got 205bhp it doesn't seem possible to the petrol heads in denial.
Thanks a lot to all the lads at Celtic Tuning. The job was well done and steadily done and in the end I got more than the performance I was expecting.

WOW, what can I say, I am well impressed with the remap, the 0-60 has dropped by 2 secs and it pulls through every gear, over taking is now a doddle.
I am finding it hard to get the smile of my face, the car just eggs you on to have a lead foot!
Thanks to all the Celtic tuning team especially Mark for doing the work and turning at 9am on the dot.

Alongside the engine control unit (ECU) we are also able to provide transmission control unit (TCU) software to help further enhance your vehicle. There is a lot of limitation built into modern gearbox software to help hold back the power gains you are trying to achieve from your engine, our gearbox software overcomes this and helps transform the way the car drives. Some of the modifications include raising maximum torque limiters, faster gear shift speeds, increased clamping pressures to prevent clutch wear, increased engine RPM limiters and much more…
