I recently had my XF re-mapped by Celtic. The guy turned up on time on the day he was very polite and answered every question I had. When I drove it for the first time after the remap I was extremely pleased with the results. Yes, it is quicker and more responsive, however, there is more to it than just that. The car pulls away so much more fluidly and the delivery of power is silky smooth. I have also noticed an improved fuel economy. If you are serious about having this done call Celtic Tuning. They are very professional and experts at what they do.

This is the first time I have used Celtic Tuning but I would definitely use them again.
The guy who came to do the remap was called Cameron. Courteous, friendly and even put up with some mindless questions from me. A top bloke.
The job was completed in an hour, exactly as he told me it would. As for the car, I almost had to make sure it was the same one. What a difference. In standard tune it always had quite a bit of torque but now it is unreal. And from just 1750rpm it just starts pulling harder and harder, with no dips in the power delivery at all. All the way to the red line. Very un-diesel like!! And It is so much smoother than before. So, thank you CT. You will be recommended by me to anyone interested in doing the same thing.

If you're reading this it's probably because you're wondering if it's worth doing to your XF.
Well, after having the same debate with myself and deciding to go for it I had Kevin turn up last week. As everyone else has said it's a very simple process so I won't bore you with the details.
It's been a week now and the results are frankly better than I could have hoped for. I don't know if the figures are what is quoted but what I can say is that it's transformed the car. If anything it's now smoother in traffic in "boring" mode but in Dynamic and Sport modes it really flies. It feels slightly quicker than my old S4 Avant.
Low down torque is hugely improved and it belts you down the road far quicker than any big diesel should.
Oh and with cruise control set on the motorway at 70(ish) my MPG has gone from 39 to 45mpg (a 40 mile motorway trip daily measured in both directions over a week).
If you're wondering if you should go for this, the short answer is a very big YES!

I've never had a car tuned before so I was quite excited about getting this done. Kevin arrived on time to carry out the work. After a couple hours it was all finished.
Around town the car still feels very similar to before, which is very good. When driving sensibly on country roads it's still civilised, quiet and smooth but give it a bit of right boot and it just takes off like a furious weasel! The power increase is more than I expected but it's a nice smooth delivery with no dips or peaks.
I'm really pleased with how the car drives and would strongly recommend the remap to any XF owner.

Kevin arrived as planned and the work was carried out very well, although he did have to remove the ECU. The test drive immediately showed the car to be smoother, but now that I have down over a 100 miles, I can say the car appears to be slightly more economical and so much faster. The power is unrelenting and the car is a joy to drive.
Early days, but I'm delighted.

Great product, great service and great price! I used to drive my Jaguar XF with a smile on my face. Now I drive it with a huge grin!
I would recommend Celtic Tuning to anyone.

Kevin was extremely professional and knowledgeable and carried out the 307bhp remap at my home. The whole exercise took about 90 minutes, including the test run.
I am a fairly light-footed driver, but the improvement in performance is immediately noticeable. The throttle response is much improved even with my light-footed driving style, and accelerating from 55 to 60 to overtake is a breeze. The engine just feels as if it has been 'released' and feels even smoother than before. And of course, if you do want to put your foot down, the acceleration is truly impressive.
I haven't detected any significant change to the fuel consumption during my normal 65 mile commute, it remains around 43mpg.
I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is considering a remap. It is also a good economical alternative to anyone trying to choose between buying an XF 3.0D or an XF 3.0D S.

Celtic Tuning provide a quick upgrade on my Jaguar XF 3.0D at my home and a friendly service throughout.
Kevin from Celtic Tuning arrived, introduced himself and explained what would happen. He plugged a laptop into the diagnostic port of the XF's which enabled him to download and store the car's ECU file. The file was then sent via GPRS to Celtic's Cornish facility where it was modified and sent back. What you get back is a map exactly profiled for your vehicle - not a one-size-fits all.
Having done his bit, Kevin asked to be taken for a test-ride to establish, that the re-map was acceptable. As I drove, he explained that the re-setting and re-mapping of the ECU meant it would be take 100 miles before it had learned its new settings and therefore gave of its best. The standard car is no slouch by any standards, but I have already noticed an immediate improvement in engine performance and the car feels a lot smoother when I put my foot down. I have still to cover the full 100 or so miles that Celtic said is necessary to realise the full benefit of the re-map, but even now the gains are out of all proportion to the cost.
Celtic Tuning provide a very efficient chip tuning service, and I am very impressed with the results on my XF so far.
Thanks for a great job! I have already recommended Celtic Tuning to some of my fellow XF drivers on the XF Forum.
Thanks again,

Alongside the engine control unit (ECU) we are also able to provide transmission control unit (TCU) software to help further enhance your vehicle. There is a lot of limitation built into modern gearbox software to help hold back the power gains you are trying to achieve from your engine, our gearbox software overcomes this and helps transform the way the car drives. Some of the modifications include raising maximum torque limiters, faster gear shift speeds, increased clamping pressures to prevent clutch wear, increased engine RPM limiters and much more…
