The 2.5 CRDi engine in the iLoad is a great base for tuning as it is in essence a detuned version of the 2.5 CRDi 168bhp found in the i800 and Kia Sorento but with a different turbo unit. Although the peak torque increase is only 43lbft, if you view the dyno chart on the link above, you can see that in parts of the rev range there is over 110lbft torque increase which provides for a massive change to the performance. We have another state of tune available for this engine which is 174bhp ad 306lbft torque, at this power output it is purely from limiter removal alone and absolutely no additional fuel or boost pressure has been added! We develop all of our software on the rolling road to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fuelling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures are all within tolerance. Our aim is for maximum power whilst maintaining optimum reliability.

Our Stage 1 ECU remap is developed to safely improve your vehicle's power and torque whilst maintaining standard components and remaining within tolerances. <br/><br/> It's the perfect balance of increased power and day-to-day usability, which is ideal for those who want extra performance but not at the cost of additional hardware or reliability.

Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve enabling it to be blanked off. So, having had the re-map done about 10 weeks and 3000 miles ago, thought I would update my stats.Previous ave mpg was 46.9, now 49.2.On a recent long 480-mile return journey to Dartmoor, I averaged 61mpg, this being at an average speed for the whole journey of 58mph. My previous best ave on a long run was 57 mpg. The car ran smoothly and has much better low power delivery for effortless overtakes.
