We at Celtic Tuning develop all of our own software in house using the very latest equipment.

Our Stage 1 ECU remap is developed to safely improve your vehicle's power and torque whilst maintaining standard components and remaining within tolerances. <br/><br/> It's the perfect balance of increased power and day-to-day usability, which is ideal for those who want extra performance but not at the cost of additional hardware or reliability.

Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve enabling it to be blanked off. I had the Stage 1 tune done about 2 months ago with my primary concern being the EGR, but not unhappy to remove the DEF usage and reduce the turbo lag.

My truck definitely runs differently with the lag reduced significantly, and the peace of mind to know the EGR isn't filling my intake with a gooey mess.

I used straight pipes from flo-pro and kept the muffler. The exhaust is pretty stinking but the unit has more power and better fuel economy now. Before, I was getting 8.1 L/100km on the hwy with Wild Country XTX 275/60R/20 tires, now I am getting 7.1. If you don't mind the occasional smell of diesel at stop lights, give it a try!
