ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Where applicable we are able to raise the RPM limiter enabling a wider RPM band for performance. This is available on both petrol and diesel engines.Where applicable we are able to raise/lower or completely remove the maximum speed limiter from a vehicle.

I have considered getting my E46 M3 remapped for a number of years, but only just have I had it done. The reason for my hesitation was primarily, would I actually notice the increase in power, bearing in mind it's only a 25bhp gain.

Anyway, I bit the bullet. Firstly, I'd like to say how polite and friendly the Celtic Tuning engineer Scott was. Very professional, and knew what he was talking about, and explained that it was not about the horsepower gained, but the remap for this car would increase throttle response lower in the rev range.

Anyway, after Scott did his magic, he asked me to take the car for a spin. I can honestly say that I really was not expecting the change to be as marked as it was. The engine was always very strong, and the car has always been fast, however, the pick up in mid-range or even low rev range, is now fantastic.

I am delighted with the work that Celtic Tuning carried out to my car, and would highly recommend anyone to use them. If their remapping magic can make such a difference to my car that isn't turbocharged; if you car is, then you've got to do it!

A Celtic Tuning Technician named Jamie came out to remap my 2005 BMW 330cd yesterday and I thought it appropriate to leave some feedback.

Firstly Jamie was a credit to Celtic Tuning, very friendly, polite and professional and a real genuine guy to deal with. Thank you Jamie for your excellent service - very rare and appreciated quality these days.

The car itself has done 86,000 miles and pre-map had a sweet engine that pulled nicely through the rev range. I went for the stage 1 performance map and have to say that this has opened up a whole new level of performance.

The car now accelerates extremely quickly throughout the rev range and early indications show absolutely no loss in fuel economy. Through using a GPS acceleration timer, I believe that the 0-60mph time has reduced by more than 2 seconds even though the test conditions were poor.

The Celtic Tune has now transformed this into a very quick car - Thank you so much 10/10 worth every penny

I'll go ahead and admit, I was hardly the perfect customer. I had a lot of questions to ask, and was a bit fussy about the time and date to have my remap booked in for, due to conflicts with my work.

Celtic Tuning's responses were quick, kind and accommodating, and once I'd managed to get holiday booked off to get it done, they were more than happy to squeeze me in at the available date.

The engineer that came out to do the map was kind and professional, and explained the steps to keep me informed; and by the end of it all, the quality of the remap is fantastic! Much smoother to drive, and more responsive power to get out of trouble.

Had car remapped at Celtic on 16th June. Quick and efficient process. Hoping for improved economy and performance. Performance in spades - torque up from 300lbft @ 2,689 rpm to 420lbft @ 2,491rpm.

According to this site that is more than a V10 Audi R8! Economy slightly improved as well. Amazing considering the performance increase. Was lively car before now it's an awesome family estate.

The day Tommy came to remap my BMW, I was not sure what it would turn out like. But wow! brilliant not had chance for a long run, but what a difference. Liftoff on over taking, every thing you want and more. Well happy.

If Celtic come up with another upgrade I hope they let me know.

The guys came on time and remapped our car really quickly. The difference in performance is quite amazing, being only a small engine you don`t get much initial thrust but from about 3000 revs she really starts to pull and redlines alot quicker than before and you find your changing gear earlier as it hits the top end quickly.  These diesels are no slouches anyway but I`d thoroughly recommend having the tune up done as also the 0 - 60 time is down from 8.7 secs to a little over 7 now, this little 2 ltr has now become really fun to drive, thanks guys.

I had my BMW 320d (136 bhp) remapped by Graham at Celtic Tuning last Saturday and over the following week proceeded to give it a full test with over 1200 miles going on the clock. The first thing you notice is the extra torque, bags and bags of it! The turbo kicks in so much sooner now and it keeps going right up to the red line, where the next gear does exactly the same. I used to drive an Impreza turbo and, although you cannot compare the two for speed, you get the same kind of pull in higher gears on the motorway. Fuel economy is worse at the minute, but that's because I am enjoying the extra power too much. I did take is steady for 100 miles or so and it seems about the same as before. Very very happy!

Update 22nd August 2006 .......... Car was remapped at 90,000 miles, it has now done 137,000 and has never missed a beat. Highly recommended.

Just to say "thanks" for the remap, it was a really friendly service and now my car feels far more responsive and the power band is much wider, she's eager to pull in any gear and with her added eagerness blasting from standstill to the point when all of that glorious torque takes over and accelerates you warp speed is so much faster.

In everyday terms my 330d has gone from being a relatively quick yet frugal car into a very usable quick car with simply awesome in-gear acceleration and no loss of fuel economy whatsoever!

Post remapping I am pleased to report that in town driving or heavy traffic at low speed, there is no desernable difference in the sub 2k rpm, pulling smoothly and without fuss in all useable gears.

Rapid get away from a standing start i.e. 'boy racer starts' albeit not my favoured way of driving, is now achieved much more aggressively and 2k to 5k rpm comes up far quicker such that you are virtually changing gear not long after flooring your right foot through 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Now for the important bit. When accelerating on the move from above 2k rpm 4th, 5th and even 6th still gives you a smooth but more urgent surge of power thrusting the car along at a faster pace than before. Gears 4th and 5th are adrenalin pumping modes when the conditions are allowable and 6th is just amazing at the improved ability to accelerate at the higher motorway speeds.
