STAGE NOTES
The Stage 1 tune on the 125i takes it to an impressive 279bhp due to the fact this engine is simply a detuned 130i from factory. This allows us to provide the same tune as the 130i making the upgrade on the 125i much more impressive.

I had my BMW 125i convertible re-mapped by Celtic Tuning near Newquay in Cornwall about 3 weeks ago. What a great experience. They were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They provided tea/coffee, car mags and comfortable sofas while I waited. All in all it took about 3 hours including me taking the car for a 20 minute test drive to make sure I was happy with it.
The Car's performance after the re-map is astounding. I had seen the various postings about 125i re-maps based on the 130i BMW base map, and to be honest I bought the car on the basis that I would be getting it re-mapped, but I was a little skeptical about the claims. However the performance is everything I had hoped for and considerably better than I expected. A couple of days before I took the car to Celtic I ran a few 0-60 times using Torque-pro software on my tablet (connected to the OBD port by Bluetooth) and ran best times of 6.6s one way and and 6.8s the opposite way on the same stretch of road. I was very pleased to get so close to the quoted performance times as I'm not a racing driver and the traction control light flashed on a couple of times. The day after the Celtic remap, on the same stretch of road, I got 5.6s and 5.75s. To be honest I repeated a few times because I thought it was too good, but apart from a couple of times I cocked up the clutch control and the time I switched traction control off (leaving two neat lines of expensive run-flat rubber on the road) I was able to repeat the times and get within 0.1s. on a number of runs.
I did get a couple of error codes appearing immediately after the test runs (both relating to the throttle position sensor) but after doing a throttle sensor reset procedure and clearing the codes, they have not reappeared.
I'm really happy with the car and would recommend CelticTuning to anyone.

Alongside the engine control unit (ECU) we are also able to provide transmission control unit (TCU) software to help further enhance your vehicle. There is a lot of limitation built into modern gearbox software to help hold back the power gains you are trying to achieve from your engine, our gearbox software overcomes this and helps transform the way the car drives. Some of the modifications include raising maximum torque limiters, faster gear shift speeds, increased clamping pressures to prevent clutch wear, increased engine RPM limiters and much more…
