I have the 3.0 tdi 272hp engine, which has been transformed by the remap. The power is now linear and the throttle response in ‘drive’ is more predictable. In sport mode, the car goes like a scalded cat! The 7-speed dsg remap has allowed the additional torque to be handled generally well but you do need to be aware that the box will be more harsh on low speed changes.
I haven’t noticed any difference in fuel economy so it does seem that there is extra power at no noticeable efficiency cost.
