We at Celtic Tuning develop all of our own software in house using the very latest equipment.
All of our software is developed in our purpose built dyno cells running state of the art Dynocom 4WD rolling roads to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fuelling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures (where applicable) are all within tolerance.

STAGE NOTES

The stage 2 software on this vehicle is designed for use with standard components and within tolerances. This is classed as our fast road application, the best all-around performance for stock vehicles.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve enabling it to be blanked off. For more information please refer to our section on EGR Removal.Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the Diesel Particulate Filter enabling it to be removed from the vehicle. For more information please refer to our section on DPF Removal.Where applicable we are able to raise/lower or completely remove the maximum speed limiter from a vehicle.Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the AdBlue system enabling it to be removed from the vehicle.Where applicable we are able to switch off the Start/Stop function rendering it inactive, and preventing the engine from automatically turning off when stationary.Where applicable we are able to switch off the software functionality and monitoring for the swirl flaps, enabling them to be removed from the vehicle and save costly repair bills.Where applicable, we are able to open the exhaust valve permanently to ensure your cars exhaust note is not muffled. In some cases, this will be made selectable under certain driving modes.

I have the 3.0 tdi 272hp engine, which has been transformed by the remap. The power is now linear and the throttle response in ‘drive’ is more predictable. In sport mode, the car goes like a scalded cat! The 7-speed dsg remap has allowed the additional torque to be handled generally well but you do need to be aware that the box will be more harsh on low speed changes.
I haven’t noticed any difference in fuel economy so it does seem that there is extra power at no noticeable efficiency cost.

There is a lot of limitation built into modern gearbox software to help hold back the power gains you are trying to achieve from your engine, our gearbox software overcomes this and helps transform the way the car drives.
